My daughter's pony leans on his bit and is fairly strong... He is currently ridden in a Neue Schule Universal with the lozenge and he still leans and can sometime run off! Can anyone advise?

Hi, I suggest either trying a Dutch gag with a French link as this should stop him leaning or a Kimblewick, these are also great bits for strong ponies. Just remember these are quite strong bits and can be harsh in the wrong hands.

Waterford mouthpieces stop leaning - but like the previous poster need to be used with light independent hands. Have you tried asking her instructor for advice?

Trainer feels like me he is a bit unhappy and we have been discussing. So many bits nowadays! We were recently training for PC dressage and he had to have snaffle in so to have a little more control we used a hanging cheek.... Really not that happy with it and I thought it was probably because of the poll pressure! He is very tight in his poll as he has equine practitioner working on him! She suggested looking at other bits too!

Thank you for your post ...
