Pickle is a big horse with a habit of leaning, I generally school him in a loose ring waterford with rubber bit ring things. This works perfectly, he softens doesn't lean and I have steering (although without rubber bit rings he does tend to try ad pull it through his mouth to avoid) He is hacked in a NS universal and grackle which works a treat.
Now dressage we have problems, bends his head to outside, refuses to soften and leans on me big time. I currently ride him in a full cheek lozenged copper mouth snaffle, which until recently has been fine, however he has now learnt to evade it! A problem I had in the past before finding the NS universal!
SO any ideas welcomed, I considered perhaps a loose ring french link or hanging cheek. Someone suggested a myler but I am very much clueless on them!
