Bitting Dilema...

I'm having some trouble with finding a bit to suit my mare, I've had her a year now and have tried a whole manor of different things. She came to us in a 3 ring gag however we never rode her in this because we thought it was unnesasary, we started riding her in a loose ring snaffle but she didn't feel it at all and would tank off so we put her in a Kimberwick which seemed to have the desired effect however it still felt a bit hash so after a few months of that we swapped to an eggbutt snaffle, she went perfectly just as she had done in the kimberwick however after a while she began to evade the bit and not listen to my aids (she has always been up to date with teeth!!). We went to our first show in the eggbutt and it's safe to say we did not win. She tanked off around the ring with her nose in the air! So after that we swapped to the NS tranz lozenge (I think that's what it's called) she went amazingly, she came down to the contact, bended beautifully and was a dream to ride! We then went out showing in it and the same thing happened, she galloped round the ring and stuck her nose in the air! Then back at home she's gone back to her old ways of not being responsive or coming to the contact, help!!!

I do not know what to do, she's my first horse after years out of the saddle and I'm a bit out of touch. Should I get a stronger/different bit for shows? Should I add anything to my schooling regime? Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Agreed although you could try a Pelham with 2 reins then you have option of using curb if/when needed. Make sure Pelham is straight bar/ported not jointed as this is beyond useless.
 
People at my livery and her old owners didn't think it was right. I think I might just use it again, thank you all for the second opinion :)
