Just looking for some bitting advice for my mare. Currently she is in a loose ring waterford snaffle and she is very comfortable with this mouthpiece so I don't want too change it however she can get a bit strong/difficult to bring back to a walk or trot from canter at times so I'm wandering if anybody has some recommendations on a bit that's slightly stronger but still has the waterford mouthpiece? She doesn't respond well to bits with lots of poll pressure however bits with a curb chain work well but I understand that jointed bit don't really work with a curb chain. TIA!

You are probably best off calling somewhere like the bit bank. A Waterford is already a fairly strong bit and without adding poll pressure there isn't really anywhere else to go! Can you work on bringing her back on seat aids rather than trying to bit up?

As above. Waterfords are very strong bits. Why do you want another Waterford mouthpiece if the one you have isn't working? I would try a kimblewick or a pelham with a mullen or ported mouthpeice, or a Myler. But it does sound like it could be a schooling issue, or that your mare is running away from the bit.
