G currently does flatwork in a NS tranz lozenged bit. He seems ok in it, but can be a bit leany and "dead" when he wants to be! He is also a bit tongue sensitive and will put his tongue over the bit given half a chance! Has anyone got any ideas of bits to try!? HE quite likes his Nathe, but I dont, as he again can lean if he wants! He jumps in either a nathe or a JP full cheek as I am encouraging him to take me forward more.... any ideas!? been thinking of either a Happy mouth with peanut, or the NS Team up mouth piece...?!

Mickey has a KK ultra training bit with lozenge which is quite thick. He leans very badly and gets strong in it. Our dressage instr came out and said to try a normal dressage bradoon with a thin mouthpiece. This is what he is now working in and he is much much better. It has loose rings. Recently I have also tried him in just a cavesson without a flash and he seems to pull a lot less..

Thanks for that Mickey, had thought about trying a thinner bit...cant use a single joint as he has a tiny mouth and a low palate!!

Sunny had a spell of being just like you describe Godfrey. I wasnt really sure what to do and was just going to carry on as I was untill I saw the Ky Rotary bit, and I wanted an excuse to try it! Anyway she loved it! She has never gone so well and I am suddenly getting some really nice work out of her. I have the loose ring double jointed version and it is fab! Might be a bit expensive for an experiment I dont know what made me try it but it definatly worked!

Have Spur in a nathe with peanut, she was originally in a waterford and didn't like it very much, changed to the nathe and she's a different ponio, no leaning and making a reasonable shape, worth giving it a try.

Hmm, thanks people, he manages to lean in a waterford too

!! Looked at the rotary bit, think will try one of those, does the middle move aswell or is it just all mobile? Is it dressage legal?! Did think about trying a thinner bit becasue he has a little mouth...

Thanks hon, think that maybe an offer I will have to take up....
