My 16.1 Dutch Warmblood mare is currently in a fixed eggbutt snaffle, but she leans on the bit and is very stubborn when it comes to accepting a contact.

Would a snaffle bit with a revolver/loose rings etc help like they say they do?

Any advice regarding the type of bit which will help us would be brilliant!

Thanks x

Try her in a loose ring. They are so cheap to buy you might as well buy one instead of hiring one. If it doesn't work you can sell it on ebay / HHO swap shop.

I'd try a loose ring french link or lozenge bit. Also remember warmbloods can and usually have a large tongue leaving not too much room for bit, so if the diameter of the bit is too big it can be uncomfortable, the neue schule ones are a really good design for warmbloods and a warmer metal than stainless steel so encourages salivation. You can get a basic neue schule loose ring snaffle with lozenge for about £30 if you really look hard!
