Bitting struggles!

currently have my cob x showjumping in a snaffle (goes good in this on the flat) but he's just becoming really headstrong when jumping a course and would much rather avoid ripping the snaffle through his mouth! He is fully schooled, very reliant on seat aids but i do just need that extra help in the mouth to remind him. Any suggestions?

It's a case of trial and error, you just have to fiddle until you find the right one. Maybe try something like a Wilkie or Neue Schule Universal? My big boy goes well in a Waterford, really seems to like it in fact.

I was thinking of them just wanted to see if anyone was in the same position. I'm going to get a few bits on trial on the bit bank so hopefully something will the trick. Thank you!
