I need some advice on finding a bit other than a vulcanite pelham, for jumping. My mare doesn`t like any poll pressure so we need more than a snaffle but less than a pelham, any ideas????

I tried a pelham in my guy and he didnt like it much,, he tended to lean on it but i changed to a full cheek waterford snaffle and its like night and day.. What a difference.. He goes really well in that..

Do you not find the waterford a bit severe, my mare is strong but only due to excitment. During flat work she has a very soft mouth

waterford isn't severe if your gentle, but the horse will love it or hate it I find!!!
How bout a hanging cheek snaffle/tom thumb type one.

If she doesn't like poll pressure then I'd say a waterford as well. They aren't severe, they have no nutcracker action but also, nothing to lean on or pull into.
