Bizzy Bites

They state 8.5% sugar as sucrose - meaning they are able to fail to label all the sugar contained as glucose, dextrose or fructose. I suppose they could possibly be considered low sugar compared to - for example - a likit which is almost 50% sugar and sugar types. A carrot is, on average, 4.7% total sugars and an apple on average 10% total sugars. The problem is you can't tell how much total sugar is in a bizzy bite because they don't tell you. It might possibly be lower sucrose than, possibly, others on the market. But is certainly won't be low in total sugars. The fact they deliberately conceal the total sugar worries me.
 
From what could work out they are lower sugar than a lickit and can not be consumed as quickly. Mine take 4-6 days to eat them where as a lickit can be done in 30 mins. I tie mine to the rafters or put on the floor so not as easy as the wall bracket.
 
They reckon there is less sugar in one lick than there is in an hours grazing on good pasture.

Either way mine loves his, lasts ages and doesnt have any side effects!
 
One lasts my pony about two or three weeks, they are probably lower sugar than a lickit but I'm under no illusions they are low sugar. I haven't noticed any adverse effects in my pony and she doesn't stand at hers constantly as she would do a lickit

My pony is quite fine and pretty placid, I definitely wouldn't give one to my reactive Welshie now that the spring grass is close but do know someone that gives them to all types of natives and good-doers with no apparent issues which I do find surprising

the holder is good, nice and sturdy, they look rubbery but are actually rigid plastic
