i know its a bit 'old git moaner' but the fireworks have started up already round our way.
Dealers stable was like a hurricane had hit it yesterday morning. So i can only assume he was upset by the bangs on Saturday night.
Why cant there be a law stating that fireworks can only be set off one night of the year!!!!
MOAN MOAN MOAN!!!!!!

Fireworks have been going off round here for weeks. I'm sick of them and wish they were banned apart from organised events. I am happy to cope with a whole weekend of fireworks but weeks and weeks of it is too much. My poor collie goes to peices.

I hate fireworks, had young foal (Romi) in the box the other night, take her small runs to get her used to the box. Just as we past a house they let a firework off, scared the hell out of us but she seemed ok about it.

There is a guy staying at YO's house at the mo and he admitted to hubby that he has a load of fireworks in his room. He is going to let them off some night YO isnt there. I dont want to be a tell tale but im thinking about telling YO about this as i dont want the horses scared as some are out 24/7!!!

Yep, agree completely! My dressage horse is on box rest at the mom with a fractured splint bone and he has always been terrified of the bl**dy things. Last thing I want when I'm trying to get him to recover from surgery quickly is a horse whizzing round his stable, spinning on his dodgy hock....! I can't sedate him at night for the whole of October & november, just not feasible.

My horse's stable looks like a hurricane hit it every morning!

Agree totally about the fireworks, although my horse doesn't have a problem with them. Probably something to do with living on the edge of Salisbury Plain - we get loud bangs all year round.

Donkey, being Donkey is not bothered in the least about them - just keeps eating!

Bumble Dog is not bothered either - think my animals are too laid back for their own good!

Our horses aren't bothered by them really. Thats probably cos they are used to people going shooting in the fields, so loud bangs are normal for them

We are quite rural but the edge of the village is less than 1/4 mile so I will be camping out in my horses stable this weekend just to keep him calm!

Wish they were banned and only had organised displays on ONE night only but as this wretched government is for townies only then we are all stuffed!

Does anyone fancy a re enactment for real at the houses of parliament?

Wheres my matches?

I think its worse when its kids that get hold of these bloomin fireworks and think its fun to aim it at something!

Can't stand the blinking things - should be banned!!! (old git coming out eh?) but dog hates them and we always leave horses out for bonfire night so have chance to escape in their field, hate to think of them in with bangs going off.. hope yours is ok Panda 2007 - perhaps leave radio on all night??
