Bought the horses in from the yukky muddy field tonight to find D lame

Got in the barn and my friend's mare and D has vacuumed a shoe off in the sticky mud

Friend's mare is ok but think D has an abcess as he's pretty lame with a hot foot (although he does have a real wimpy low pain threshold)

Can sympathise, bought my horse in tonight - got two steps outside the gate when realised he was hopping lame. Looked down and the mud had sucked half his shoe off. Myself and I friend spent the next ten minutes in the dark getting v.muddy trying to get his (not due for another 2 weeks) shoe off.

It eventually came off but Bane was still foot sore - couldn't see any punctures on the underside of his hoof so hope its just a little tender. Will see in the morning!

Ours were only done on Thursday and they don't normally lose shoes

Mine lost a shoe last week going through a very boggy field. he's always very footsore after he's lost a shoe. No more hacking until the ground dries up alittle.
 
Mine has a punctured sole due to him standing on a clip off a loose shoe which was like ages ago now, he was getting better but all the mud and pants weather and he isn't any better.

one of mine is on box rest due to an infection, the other is now in 24/7 the mud is so bad its running off the legs, im not putting my horses out in that! (they go in the school for a buck roll ect) what really gets me is the woman that owns the yard has so much land, just dosnt have a clue how to land manage!
