I also ordered some things on Friday and am now having major problems as the courier company have delivered my parcel and got a signature from someone, but not to anyone in my company, or indeed to me, and Rideaway are now basically saying tough even though I don't have my items and am £125 out of pocket. I am just about to call trading standards.
 
I don't use DH anymore as last time I ordered it took them over 3 months to send it! Appalling customer service who tried to blame their incompetence on me! Never had a problem with robinsons to be fair but my favourite is definitely equestrian clearance.
 
I use Equestrian Clearance, they are brilliant. I ordered a jacket last Sunday evening and it arrived at my place of work the next afternoon. In fact everytime I have ordered something from them it has been with me the next working day :)
 
Derby house cust service is rubbish an sizing of rugs all over the place!

Goytmill is GREAT! Always delivered within 24 hours of order!! Always get my stuff from them now and they usually have offers on.

Premier Equine has great cust service and products, got a few different boots and cant wait till I need a new rug.

They are my experiences so far :-)
 
My experience with DH mail order is they are either very good or absolutely useless with no happy medium. My first order with them I tried to get a Sabre bridle which never arrived and I cancelled the order after three months wait. But I have to say subsequent orders have been very good - ordered some wellies this week on Monday and they were delivered on Weds

I do agree that they have gone downhill a LOT - first they overreached themselves by opening so many stores then they got into bed (so to speak) with that dreadful Jordan piece - so went from the place you'd go to for quality stuff to a store full of pink velour tat

I wont use Rideaway or Derbby House due to shocking customer services, not being told items are out of stock etc.

Robinsons I wont use either as the companies own products are very poor quality IMO.

I quite like Frogpool Manor, Long Melford, Equestrian Clearance & several of the smaller companies so I tend to stick to them.
 
It's a shame because I ordered some rugs from Derby House a couple of winters ago and the rugs themselves are lovely and good quality. They took months and months to come, in fact they were ordered in winter and didn't arrive until gone spring so they were of no use until the next winter. If they weren't such a bargain we wouldn't have bothered.


Never had an issue with robinsons though :confused:

The best online retailer has to be equestrian clearance, have ordered from them many times and have never been disappointed.

They've just called & offered me the new style Clare boots for the same price that the old ones were reduced to! Feel a bit of a b!tch now!

But mines have still not arrived yet, she did say they would be here anytime right up to 7.30 tonight!
