Black lab names???

hi,
can anyone think of any good names for a black labrador dog puppy? he's about 12 weeks old now, very sweet personality if a little timid at times. he's the only one left of the litter so we thought we'd better give him a name...!
any suggestions much appreciated

I also like Oscar, and I think for a labrador whose going to be worked Tweed is a lovely name!!
Um, its really hard actually!
Our puppy was named 'puppy' for a couple of weeks when we 1st got him as we couldnt think of anything!!
I know it sounds stupid but try looking on the internet or in baby name books!!

My black lab is called Toby.

Most of them round here are called Teal, Widgeon, Grouse but my friend has got one called Spliff!

my boy is called Billy as the breeders nicknamed him Billy-no-mates as he was the last left. suited him, so it stuck.

he's got lots of mates now though i might add!
