I'm buying a new Black Country saddle for my new boy and cant decide which colour to order. I normally prefer black but I hope to show him next year so maybe brown would be better?

Oh most definitely brown saddle and bridle.
I remember your first post when you can down to Sussex to try this horsey.
He is lovely - how are you getting on with him now?

He has been really good. He's a really laid back boy except when I brought the clippers out! Getting him sedated on thurs for clipping. But other than that he's been fab. Having saddle problems though as he had a large shoulder and my last mare's saddles are too forward cut for him :( Annoying as they are wide and he needs a wide. Selling secondhand saddles is difficult right now too.

I'm sure when we get the saddle sorted we'll be great! In the mean time we've been bonding while lunging and loose schooling. Had him popping over some 2'9 plastic blocks at weekend as we dont have any poles as yet. He was loving it.

Awesome I have ordered a dark brown. Had the choice of lighter browns but I think dark would suit him best. Black Country are now doing bridles so I thought about getting a cavesson bridle from them in the matching brown but its £160!! I cant really afford the £950 for this saddle but i've got my insurance money coming back from the loss of Tia which I really owe all to my mum but she's letting me buy a saddle with some of it! Mums are the best :)
