Which do you think looks better on a bay horse?

I'd say black. Brown on brown wouldn't go.

Brown definitely. Have brown on both our bays - one fairly dark and the other more of a chestnut coat colouring. Sister's gelding came with black tack when we bought him but has since had new saddle bought and looks much smarter in brown. Will see if I can dig out some pics for you - not sure if i've got any on new comp but will have a look!

My bay has both - brown for at home and jumping, black for dressage but I prefer the brown

dark havana brown

black is fashionable for dressage but as I keep posting (very boringly) is traditionally used for driving tack.....

I prefer brown on any colour horse
