black or brown?

what colour would you use on a dun horse? black or brown
i am going to show her for a couple of years, then ridden shows.

i am getting ahead of myself here, been as tho she is only nearly one but as i have lots of brown tack already-just sitting around not getting used. i may as well sell it if i need black tack!!

If you are showing her it should be brown tack, this can be dark brown by the time you have treated it so verging on nearly black

I'd go with brown.

I did not - as you may be able to tell from my avatar - so I speak from experience.

I bought a black saddle because at the time I was riding a sorrel and white paint horse and I thought black tack would look sooo sharp. But then it took me forever to find a bridle in black without a flash or figure-eight noseband. And, I confess, I just gave up and put black shoepolish on my brown leathers so they'd match my saddle!

Personally I think brown would suit her colouring better anyway and if you have loads of brown tack you may as well use that rather than buying new ?

Brown is more correct for showing. As I don't show though, I have black tack which makes it easy to match everything
