Found a little bit of plastic black bag in my mollichaff veteran this evening when making feeds. Now I appreciate its only one tiny bit but still could have cause problems if it was eaten. i will be on the lookout for more in the rest of this bag.

I’ve never had any problems before and my boy loves it so I’m hoping it’s just a one off but I have emailed them just so they are aware and just thought I’d post on here in case anybody else uses it so they can be on the lookout too!

I’ve found nails, screws and a condom wrapper in chaff over the years, always keep your eyes open with feed!

I had stones in my Honeychop chaff before - they were fantastic about sending out vouchers quickly and asking for the batch number to see if they ould recall any bags.

They bale the haylage in massive bales (easier to store, handle and be consistent with product) which is then wrapped in black wrap. It then gets broken down as required and wrapped into the smaller bags which they sell it in. Somehow the black wrap must have got in.

They have had problems with people chucking stuff in the fields. I end up with rubbish in my haylage (not Marksway's) from time to time, as the fields it comes from are fertilised with the contents of the garden waste bins. It's composted, and checked but they can't get rid of every piece. If only people would put their crap in the right place.

I had this too with Dengie once. Sent them a message on Facebook and they got back to me really quickly. I ended up getting some feed vouchers
I’ve had this a couple of times too with Dengie so always on the lookout for random extras in it- it helps that I only feed in small quantities so can see it easily.

They sent vouchers for free bags of feed, though I wasn’t overly impressed with their response which basically pertained to the product being a harvested crop from various sources that they didn’t have full
Control over. I pointed out that there was a degree of processing since the product has grass nuts added. The item in question was a whole, slightly mangled tennis sock, so not small!

I kept finding stones in my Agrobs chaff. My supplier (who dealt with it very well) took it up with Agrobs, who were extremely rude about it. (My supplier forwarded me their email) so I swapped to Thunderbrook. Not found any foreign objects in my Tbunderbrooks chaff at all.
