I will post my reason later when I have calmed down, but I normaly have brown, but have to try a saddle that at the moment is black, just wondering what any one thought.

Just going to have a nice cup of tea a very large bar of chocolate and deep breathing.

oh dear, you sound stressed.
I think havana would look better.

I hate to say it, but preferably brown on a chestnut, I just think it looks better on them regardless of whether they're orange or more liver-y coloured.

I must say that I prefer brown or did so until today, its just that I've seen a nice saddle that I am going to try and its black.
My instructer's was black and it looked ok, so we'll just see, but it means buying new bridle etc as every thing is brown and I do like every thing to be matching.

I am wanting to do dressage, so I don't think it should make any difference to that.I suppose Its what you get used to isn't it.

My bright chestnut looks lovely in black .I dont like the idea of different shades of brown with tack.Black is normally just black!!!!!!!!

Always prefered Havana, but my liver chestnut pony came with black tack and it looks fine on her. She'd rather I put it back in the tackroom and turned her out whatever the colour!

Brown!
Black should only be used for cavalry and harness to be correct, besides good brown tack looks nicer on all colours, black looks cheap!

Black horses being the exception, who can look a bit daft in brown

I am a big fan of black tack but on a dark or liver chestnut I think havana brown looks smart.
