Is it Dax that is a fridge raider? Do you have locks on the fridge? If so which ones and where from please! Tilly is feeling so much better she raided it again this afternoon :rolleyes: Luckily I wasnt daft enough to restock it yet so they only had a couple of eggs!
 
Yes, twas Dax, she used to raid the fridge, ignore the trays of meat and instead eat entire blocks of cheddar cheese. :o

We did try the Mothercare fridge lock but she was able to open it very easily I'm afraid. Duct tape worked better but in the end we gave up (not just over the cheese-thieving, other separation anxiety issues too) and she's now crated while I'm out.
 
I tried a fridge lock when I have a raiding greyhound, but within a few days he had worked out how to get around the problem (over 15 years ago now so they may have changed the design). In the end I put a bungee around the fridge (just mind the element at the back) & that worked a treat. Luckily he never realised he could chew through it!

Sorry to hear about your dogs. I hope the poor chap makes a good recovery.
 
hmmm well perhaps several fridge locks then and I will try for a few days before I restock it! Otherwise I will give up and use the outside (in a shed) fridge for everything and brave the cold everytime I want a cup of tea or a sandwich! :rolleyes: Its taken her 5 years to open it so Im hoping fridge locks will work!
 
Could you maybe booby trap the food in the fridge before you restock it properly? i.e. chillis in some sausage / mince and joke shop bangers under stuff or cribox suprise pasty filling *evil grins*
 
I have a lock that is meant to hold the loo seat down (presumably to stop little Jimmy flushing himself away!). Will try to get a pic - I can hardly get the thing open, so I'd like to see Tilly get past it:D

Promise not to laugh but I got completely the wrong end of the stick there and thought Spuddy had a knife block and pans in her loo :o

They're weird down Norfolk way, but didn't think they were that weird.... :p
 
Apparently, one of them personal attack alarms attached to the door. Then when they open the door, they're greeted by the wailing of the alarm and never go back. :) Might be good if you can't find any locks :)
 
My god thats a good plan but if I did that I would come home to poor Flora in hell of a state, that type of noise would scar her for life! :p :D If it was just tills I would do it!

The shop had sold out of fridge locks the day before Henry came home, and I was terrified he was going to be a raider! Actually, he's never opened the fridge:rolleyes: He's done everything else, but he's never done that!
 
hes lulling you in to a false sense of security! I have had that fridge for 5 years and the dog for 7 and shes never raided a fridge until this week :rolleyes:
