Blair - damn busy!

Just got back from Blair. God it was hot and SOOOOO busy! Definately a good turn out. We hiked up the hill to the water to find a huge crowd so didnt stay long because we couldnt see much. Heard Oli Townsend fell off though.

The shopping was crap, I bought not ONE thing because I could barely squeeze into the tents. Got peeved when we bought 2 chips and 2 bottles of water - £7! Rip off. Dont remember it being so pricey last time!

The SJ was good - watched the top score thingy which hotty - Douglas Duffin won. And the bird demo was cool.

I now have a sun burnt face though and want to go to bed

I noticed they were filming the XC - anyone know if its going to be on TV? I remember it was one year.

Also just got back. We'd a great day. Did the shopping first thing when it was quiet, watched a side saddle demo, had a drink then walked round the xc course while the 3*** was on. We didn't see Oliver Townsend fall off - all the ones we saw went well. Think there were a few spills in the mornning though - we saw some of it on the big screens. Weather was fantastic up there - when we got back home it had been heavy showers all day. It was very busy though and i wouldn't have fancied trying to do any serious shopping in the afternoon. Only complaint £3 for a cappachino - c'mon!

I heard it was v.pricey at Gatcombe - like £10 for a burger!!! We're off to Burghley but will take a picnic.

We were there too, same thoughts about the shopping. Got a fab spot right at the front at the water. sat there for far longer than we thought but no spills at that point. Walked the XC course, watched some SJ in the main arena and now home with one side of my face more sunburned than the other!
