That jump is just under 5ft high and as wide as anything!

Im heading there tomorrow to watch, has it been really wet?? Raining here today (Im 2 hours away) but been dry so not sure how bad it is there. Also we want to watch the 4* short XC, can anyone recommend any particularly troublesome/impressive fences to watch at? We normally just sit by the closest water!

It was OK for most of the day and then rained heavily late afternoon. Car park was pretty muddy when everyone was leaving but the event ground itself was mostly OK.

We went on Thursday and had a terrific time, it was really good this year. I wasn’t sure how the ground was going to hold up though, it started raining when we left. Friend took second in the BE90, few friends showing too. Trade stands were good. As were food trailers.

Did you buy anything nice? I came back with some riding tights, new saddlecloth, treats and a topspec supplement (thanks to hubby for carting round 😄)
I did, not that I needed anything as the week before I had spent £280 at Hope Valley ffs 😂😂😂 I was going to buy BB the dijon le mieux but they only had small/medium so that was that scuppered lol. Saved myself £50 😂

My friend spent way more than me , I was only £100 😂

My hubby went out to the jeep to see where the rest was when he was surprised I only had two bags lol 😂😂😂

I was really impressed and cant wait to get there next year too! I promise I will not spend just before I go 😂😂

My friend's horse was 5th in the 4*S, so she was delighted. She loved the venue.
Wow thats impressive! I watched the 4*S XC yesterday at the water. Some scary moments over the first log in. Blair is a stunning venue, I go every year to spectate. Never quite made it with a horse yet, maybe some day. Its quite a spooky/ high energy environment though even just for the BS with the people/stands/flags etc. so close. Think my current horse would have a total meltdown.

I came away having only bought a new headcollar and lead rope! So dull! I cant be bothered with the busy shopping bits though to be fair, Id rather sit about and watch the action. The mud wasnt nearly as bad as I expected either! Hopefully nice and sunny next year though ;) The only bits I wish they'd improve are having a tannoy for the XC down near the water. You dont get to hear anything as there only seems to be a XC tannoy at very top of hill or one pointing towards the lorry park it seems.

The horse is with Aaron Millar. My friend is the owner! She did event up to Novice herself in days past. I think she enjoys it far more as an owner.
