Absolutely thrilled today to see a horse I sold 8 weeks ago, when I closed my riding school, take 2nd in the BHS working hunter. TBH he was not an average RS horse but it was still lovely to see him out and about!
Hope you're having fun
Piccies to followHope you're having fun
There is a tractor pulling people out thoughIts getting pretty bad when we left today
Ping me his number if you'd like some pics! I'll be around most of the weekend! My old horse the BFG cart horse is in the 1* with his new owner
I’m stalking him on Eventing scores and supporting from afar
I don't think that's completely unexpected! Friend said it was the toughest course she's ever seen here! Some fences have been taken out of the xc due to the ground.
It was OK for most of the day and then rained heavily late afternoon. Car park was pretty muddy when everyone was leaving but the event ground itself was mostly OK.Im heading there tomorrow to watch, has it been really wet?? Raining here today (Im 2 hours away) but been dry so not sure how bad it is there. Also we want to watch the 4* short XC, can anyone recommend any particularly troublesome/impressive fences to watch at? We normally just sit by the closest water!
It was really good, tons and tons of stuffWe went on Thursday and had a terrific time, it was really good this year. I wasn’t sure how the ground was going to hold up though, it started raining when we left. Friend took second in the BE90, few friends showing too. Trade stands were good. As were food trailers.
Did you buy anything nice? I came back with some riding tights, new saddlecloth, treats and a topspec supplement (thanks to hubby for carting round )It was really good, tons and tons of stuff
I did, not that I needed anything as the week before I had spent £280 at Hope Valley ffs I was going to buy BB the dijon le mieux but they only had small/medium so that was that scuppered lol. Saved myself £50Did you buy anything nice? I came back with some riding tights, new saddlecloth, treats and a topspec supplement (thanks to hubby for carting round )
Wow thats impressive! I watched the 4*S XC yesterday at the water. Some scary moments over the first log in. Blair is a stunning venue, I go every year to spectate. Never quite made it with a horse yet, maybe some day. Its quite a spooky/ high energy environment though even just for the BS with the people/stands/flags etc. so close. Think my current horse would have a total meltdown. My friend's horse was 5th in the 4*S, so she was delighted. She loved the venue.
