Bebe there's a whole crew having a yard weekend from my yard as well! Much as she may not like the role I'm about to pass onto her I think FigJam is now officially party coordinator, if you PM her or me your mobile no. you'll get the plans, it's looking like a Friday night meet at any rate!
Ha ha, I'm just looking forward to sitting back on Fri night and a bundle of people arriving with burgers and sausages at my tent, simples!
How about co-coordinator with you Jennifer?! Anyone who will be at Blair on Friday, feel free to add to this thread or PM me and then on Friday next week I'll send out a "rallying" call via text with a description of location (although by the sounds of it, we'll be hard to miss with two big gazebos!) and rough time, probably back of 7pm by the time we drag ourselves away from the tradestands!
Yeah I can live with that! Will be 7 by the time I've jumped and finished Jack off and got half presentable anyway. Will hopefully catch up with a few of you through the day on Friday anyway, but you're not allowed to laugh if I fall off ha ha!
Hi Mr FigJam! Don't think you're getting much of a say sorry, but we'll all bring food and drink and it'll be lovely! Oh and if you get bored taking eventing piccies I'm told that Jack is rather photogenic...(shame can't be said for jockey lol!). And if all the female hormones get too much for you I'll send you in the general direction of the lads I know, they'll be happy to drink themselves into oblivion with you!
Better make sure you have plenty memory cards packed, there's a big list of HHO-ers riding over the weekend...!

Looks like I might need to buy more at this rate and make sure all my batteries are charged!
I'll need to see if I can get Ollie T falling at the water again this year!
Is he riding?
The folk that are competing: Can you think of any good fences that you'd like photo's at? Water complex etc.?
The folk that are camping: I like Gin, Chicken kebabs and Beer!
He is indeed riding this year, as it Mr Fox-Pitt, Mark Todd, Ruth Edge, Andrew Nicholson, Andrew Hoy and amongst others, will highlight them in your programme for you!
I'm sure the HHO lot will appreciate as many Paul Tapner photos as you can manage also...!
Mr Fig Jam, I would like a pic of a nice 'big' but straightforward jump please. Preferably one where I am not pulling a funny face nor extracting my horse's back teeth. That may not be humanly possible - to catch. Perhaps galloping between fences would be a safer option!
Big but straight forward are the bread and butter shots. Big to look impressive and straight forward so that you don't make a meal of getting over it. I'm sure we can find a suitable jump.
I shall have to look out for this Mr Tapner then - will he be at the disco on Saturday do you think? I'll not tell the rest of them if I get an introduction...
Mind you - horsey man, attractive, he's either got a wife or he's gay, right?
Good luck to everyone who's competing. I've always gone to watch on XC day (wanted to do the CCI* this year but too expensive!) - however on the Saturday Im going to Aviemore instead to the big Harley weekend on my bike! Going up there for the big "ride-out" so if you pass a heap of motorbikes on your way down from up North - wave at the person with the pink butterflies helmet!! lol.
Wife I'm afraid Jennifer! He's an eventer, so surely he'll be at the party?!
Magic_Magpie- That sounds good fun, hope the weather is nicer than forecast for you or you'll be just as soggy as us!
Joss- I'm sure you don't gurn half as much as me, poor Mr FigJam has plenty practice trying to make the Intro fences I jump look decent sized and get a shot of me not jumping them first/being left behind AND smiling, so you'll be fine!
(not that you need any of these skills of his of course!)
Well at least if he's married he's batting for the right team lol! Eventers don't really seem to like us SJers much for some reason anyway, possibly jealous that we can get absolutely hammered every night without the fear of forgetting a stressage test or jumping 30 odd fences built like the sides of houses the following morning, and we can go SJ still drunk or with a rotten hangover and still go clear... (I don't fit in that category btw, I can't move with a hangover and I rarely jump clear lol!). But if I pulled an eventer I'm sure he'd help me improve my stressage, any suggestions of who to molest *cough* sorry chat up since this newly discovered talent is spoken for?
Mr FigJam could you add me to your growing phot list I hear you are rather good! (flattery is worth a try!)
Im not fussy at type of jump but the big impressive are usually the ones i make a mess of so for comedy factor that might be the one!! best to be early on incase i dont get round but anything appreciated!!
xkx
Oh, I'm only getting to go on Saturday to watch xc, then heading home up north to see friends, do visit to mother and have my first weekend away from my horses for 4 years...
I know what you mean (kind of!), I'm a total control freak and hate leaving stuff to others when I go away! Have a week away booked end of Sept but hopefully they'll all be out 24/7 'til the end of Oct, so she just needs checked while I'm gone.
As per PM, will be chasing you out of the warm up arena into start box on time on Sun so no faffing!
Well done with the lorry fixing and fingers crossed for at least dry, if not sunny weather at the weekend.
