Blasted flies.....

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a decent fly repellent that you can feed that actually works? And to add to that, one that is suitable for an in-foal mare? The flies are plauging her already, whilst she wears a fly mask they still manage to crawl up underneath.... Does feeding Garlic actually work?

Aren't they awful.Our horse is out at night /in during day and wearing a snuggyhood sweet itch rug but between his legs he is badly bitten.The rest of him is fine at the moment.

I could keep her in in the day, but she's not a fan and it's better for her to be moving around...

A snuggyhood neck cover and head would work,we had one without a zip but changed it to one with zip which is great

Not sure if garlic works or not, but Jayjay, who isn't fed at the moment, has a much worse fly problem then the big boys, who are having a bit every day.
