i was really looking forward to lesson as last night she did some lovely canter transitions (after the argument we had sunday i.e i ask for canter she bucked!!) with not 1 single buck, so i wanted to build on this

mind you she was really good when a vicious horse eating tubtrug blew towards her!!

oh its annoying isnt it?

I went out to ride this morning in a small t shirt as the sun was out. Horse was going really well and, after about 25 mins, it totally and utterly chucked it down! We did a mad dash back into the yard!!

I went to the peak of mount "Norfolk" this afternoon and stupidily dumped the hay down whilst poo picking turned my back and half of it had blown into the other field....its been a hard first week for this DIY lark

, but my flood lighting is up this weekend so it'll soon be a doddle opposed to wandering around in the dark nonsense

Ummm, We were supposed to go to Solihull this morning BSJA, but hubby was at hospital last night til gone 1am with x-ray on his ankle. (football, don`t ask), but I still managed to get up with the alarm at 7am, looked out of the window and the rain was coming down with the wind!!

I decided that as it was an hours drive down the A42/M42 in a trailer, that it wasn`t a good idea. So I gave her the day off

, thought I`d have a relaxing day - until a friend called to ask me to go over to jump start her land rover.

Anyway, we have decided to go to Markfield tomorrow.
It is only 25 minutes away and through built up areas for half of the way so it should be ok if it isn`t ideal weather. Feeling a bit nervous as not been competing since November. Wish me luck.
Well, its 1st March tomorrow, so keep thinking that summer is on the way and the outdoor shows.

It's really grim isn't it? Just absolutely foul, foul weather - riding indoors wasn't much better the racket it was making outside!

Good luck peanot!

Had squally wind & rain here too. Luckily I was riding OH's horse, who is so laid back about wind & rain it's amazing. But after one particularly bad gust nearly blew me off his back I erred on the side of caution and gave up.
Oh for spring to come - sooo looking forward to the blissful days when I can ride without a coat! Then no doubt I will start complaining it is too hot!
