Bleak Outlook for Equine Sector after Animals Act Amendment Fails-CLA

Im so disappointed at this. Hopefully it will be given a decent chance soon otherwise there are going to be people out here forced to pack in horses altogether.

Indeed. One does wonder why Mr Dinsmore, MP for Hendon, London, felt the need to talk for two hours and nineteen minutes. When Hansard is published for 14 March perhaps we might find out why.

Re: Insurance - potentially high claims and a dwindling riding school market are hardly in the insurers' interest. It is my understanding that the insurers are just as keen as those in the horse industry to see the Animals Act amended.

I agree with you. here is a quote taken from an article on this Bill published before the 14th

[..........Additionally, the insurance industry and lawyers that have been involved in compensation cases have welcomed the Bill.

Just interesting to see that Mr Dismore appears to be an active member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers - see Mr Google!!

Seems like there may be a conflict of interest with the Animals Act Amendment......
