I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it today. It's the first big event I've been to for 3 years and it is lovely to see how many spectators turn out to support our eventers. It really does prove how wrong the BBC are to limit equestrianism coverage. It was a credit to the organisers and a really fun day out. I consider £23 a small sum to pay to get so close to some of britain's top sportsmen/women and can't think of many other international level sports where you can feel so involved. My highlight of the day was Lucinda Fredericks' little 'woohoo!' over the last jump, it really made me smile!

I completely agree with your sentiments and weren't we lucky with the weather. I'd even taken my waterproof chaps in readiness for the rain, that thankfully never came. The moment that made me smile was a rider (I think it was Helen Dunning) shouting 'listen' to her horse as she approached no 6, the Dew Pond. We didn't really appreciate the instruction to her horse until we actually got to the fence, and then fully understood her comment - lol! Sadly after her Pippa and Phoebe both had stops at the first element of said fence 6. I was really hoping Phoebe was going to have a better weekend after last week.

SO lucky with the weather! I felt rather silly walking round with wellies, waterproof jacket and golfing umbrella while others were sunbathing in shades and vest tops!

Yes fence 6 caused quite a few problems didn't it? I felt very sorry for Phoebe too and it was a shame about Emily. I wish shouting 'listen' at my horse would work!

it was brilliant especially the high jump comp which was just pure hilarity. Got hundreds of photos which will upload Monday but this one of Laura Collett jumping 1m85 bareback is a bit special to say least. her position is perfect!!
