Well I'm guessing alot of you have a nice blanket of snow this morning? New boy was a bit 'odd' last time is snowed and nothing different this morning!

Decided it was too dodgy to hack and can't school cause of my shoulder so turned up at the yard to a weaving oscar - chucked him out and he rolled 6 times, galloped around the field and then decided he wanted to play with me in the field......bless!

Anyone else's acting weird in the snow?

Ha! I didn't even get mine five metres out the barn...Was planning on walking him about abit as he was quite cold just to warm him up and enjoy the snow...Lets say I quickly changed my mind

Going back a few years, my mare had alwys lived in Wirral where it very rarely snows, I had her at college and she was on box rest. I took her out for a short walk in the snow, it took 2 of us to control her she was so silly, then she stood and snorted at the snow on the top of a car until it fell of sending her into vertical take off mode

At 27 she still goes silly when it snow, she loves it!!

I took my horse on a hack...BAD idea!! There were lots of horse-eating snowmen around, and Sunny certainly wasn't having any of that so tried to bolt with me

Luckily he calmed down after a while, once he realised that they don't move and they werent going to eat him

So yeah horse + snow= BAD

I set out on a hack this morning but then got caught in a blizzard! New horse Sparky was an angel. We were 30 minutes away from home and it snowed all the way but he got me safely back. I've only had him 7 weeks and it hasn't been all plain sailing but this snow storm incident has helped us bond.
