I agree with vicijp - horses problems are 90% owner based. Alot has to do with breeding too, but the right handling solves a heck of alot of issues.

maybe she doesnt like the lady! as daft as it sounds, my 2nd pony tom would let everyone near him bar my father! he had never hurt him or upset him he just didnt trust hima nd thats what they need, trust in us

I agree - don't know what the owner is like (sounds a bit mental to me) but the mare looks really nice.

Would probably make her a cheeky offer though and expect that is what will happen - the horse is no good to her if she can't get near it!
 
I hope she sells her and she didn't get too ripped off when she bought the mare. It's sad when this happens but at least it's a very honest advert. I wonder if anyone has ever ridden her? I would think she would sell at that price.
 
I think she looks 16hh to be honest. The only thing I wondered about was, is she actually 6 years old? She looks much younger than that - very babyish stance.

Have to say, the more I look at her, the more I really like her!
 
Wormed with granules in feed? Owner probably bought her already with a passport and vacc's done as she has only had her 6 months. Loads of ways to give vacc's to horses who aren't handled though......stocks!
 
Aw thank you - but I am happy to pay a bit more than £1500 for one I can stroke. Guess who else is for sale - and totally out of my price range.
 
I supect it's the woman who is a few brain cells short, or she wouldn't be describing the horse like that.
We have an identical mare to her in looks here who when she came feared men, hated the farrier, was impossible to worm etc and loathed you touching her at all. After five years she is ok with all of the above, comes up to you in the field, still wary but obviously wanting to "talk".
Her price is ridiculous as down here you can buy an unbroken sound brood mare of 16.2hh 5 years old for £600. I know that because I bought two..
At that price she isn't even going to get any enquirers, I sold an in foal mare for £1500 last year, the South West is floded with unwanted mares.
Poor mare is all I can say...
 
Interesting what you say about the difference in price down there HH. I didn't realise that registered ID's in Cornwall were so low in value. I would have expected them to be similar to the South East.....maybe a wee bitty cheaper.
