Honest opinions on this bridle please! I know he doesn't look impressed!

Aww bless him. I have to say though I don't think it suits him at all, sorry. He'd look handsome in a nice hunter bridle. Not that he isn't handsome just now though.

He looks a big chunky lad and I think the brow band is a bit feminine it doesn't seem to sit right on him. I think they work on the more sleek headed TB types. But I wouldn't say he looks silly.

and if you like it then that's what counts

It was brought for a tb but all my tbs heads are too small! The browband is meant to look droopy but not maybe that much! It would be his stressage bridle! Oh and would normally have a loose ring snaffle!

If anything he looks silly because he has had some unflattering pics taken, he wouldn't look very different without the bridle on, it's just because of his expression.

Take some outside with his ears pricked from a more flattering angle and I bet he will look like a superstar:)

He is a very handsome boy. The bridle is very nice but perhaps with a different brow band? something looking more like the nose band (v smart!) might be nice?

It's too big, too low and too girly! I'd put his nose band up a hole too. If you like it then that's all that matters but I'm afraid I think he'd look much nicer in a good solid hunter bridle too.

It occurs to me that eventually the governing bodies will have to put limitations on the weights of brow bands.... I'm not one for these sorts of things, but I've seen some people selling bridles with so many rocks glued or sewn on to them that they must qualify as 'weighted' equipment.

Personally - no but only because it looks to big, but that could be the photo's as the rest of the bridle does not seem to be correctly adjusted.

If you rode him as it currently shows I think it will annoy him being that loose when he goes into trot.

Please don't get offended but to be brutally honest, i can't stand the noseband:o i think he would look much nicer in a plain one

Much better in the jumping bridle.... me personally I would send the browband and the bridle back , they both appear too big for him, and even if you punch a few extra holes in, that is going to be a lot of leather spare and if you did want to do any showing then you would loose a few marks.

I love the bridle
I love the browband
I love the horse

but not together - sorry I don't mean to offend

I have to be honest and say I don't like it .. he has a very handsome head and it makes him look a bit poncey!!

think his jumping bridle suits him much better.

Not offended by anything :)

Sadly can't send bridle back as I purchased 2 years ago but never used! He has the biggest head and it won't fit my little tbs!

Urm.... ebay so you get some money back and buy something that fits?

I was just looking at the holes you are currently on... and if you do punch some more in, i think its still going to have far too much leather to go in the keepers.

Tbh with the money it cost and the offers of like £50/60 I got before when I was going to sell it, would make more sense to buy another horse that it fits lol! If anyone could recommend me a nice bridle for dressage would be appreciated! Must be black as my saddles are :)

I don't like the browband on him, its too fine and girly but I think with a solid browband that matches the noseband it would suit him, he somehow does suit the grakle on the other one though!

It must just be a super big bridle built for giant warmblood heads! My haffy has a super wide head but the cheekpieces are always absurdly long!
