Bling on a highland?

Oh auslander....... this would look lovely on Alf (in brown to match the rest of his tack obviously ;))

Party pooper! :mad::p

I'm sure they would do that colour scheme in clear ones not pearly ones :D

Oh and Fergs could have one of these with orange shiny bits

Ok - well you can have the lord of the rings one....but not orange...as that is not a happy lord of the rings colour .. green is elf like! they are happy...as are the hobbits! but orange is bad ;)

Oh no, I have no green matchy matchy! The LOTR browband I was thinking red :D or possibly a bright royal blue...

Oh dear, this is clearly as well as a V-shaped orange one :o

Go for it! I've actually got a v shaped bling broadband for sale! Brand new, but it's just the normal white coloured crystals, it's amazing! X

Hang on... Thought we were going with BLING?

Middle Earth, last I looked, is very not-bling.

Get back on track for Ferg's sake.

Me too, i am having a pink and white with added bling browband made for harry :)

pink on a boy  that is a step too far :p bet it looks good though ;)

where are you finding those lovely middle earth ones?

on the bespoke browbands fb page :D

It occurred to me in bed last night that the middle earth browband will only work in brown, not black. He will need an entire new bridle, which will have to wait for now. So yes, plain v and lots of bling for now, middle earth chique when I am next flush with cash (lol) :D

I think Fergs neeeeeeeeeeds more bling!!

My (unbacked) Hipo has a couple of matchy matchy sets already :)
I'm wondering if a patent noseband and a crystal dropped browband are too much to back him in! :D

Sports highlands rule ;)

Yay! You can never have too much bling! I'm not sure about the patent route myself, but if you like it I'm sure he'll pull it off! Mine does dead sheep and showjumpery tack and gets away with it!

The trouble is, you treat them like a sports horse, they start acting like one  Mine had rub marks where the back of his saddlecloth was clearly not soft enough against his back  I had to ride in sheepskin rolled ones or with a half pad under his saddle cloth for weeks until his new coat came through :D

Not sure why...but made me think of 'Lord of the rings''?? maybe I should just go to bed :D
I thought LOTR too, but since they are my favourite movies and he is sooooooo gorgeous (Fergs, I mean! ) I think he would look really cool.
II had a bling phase with Blaze once, bought her a sparkly/flower/diamante JW browband.
003-1.jpg

She just looked like a fat bird doing clubbing diva. Just VERY wrong!! :D
Anyway, we did a sponsored ride in the bling, got back to the box and she was sweaty and itchy...........so she got down in the mud and rolled - all over the bling!
Had to clean the bugger with a toothbrush - gave it to my mate with her 'Barbie' Haffy :D

LOL! mine is already practicing! He wont go anywhere except for in poncy toed trot, even when his field mates are hooning about

sports highlands are the future!

I like the fact that they have their diva moments :p

Lol I can imagine that mud + bling is a very bad combination! My beast is currently looking like a drowned bog monster rather than a blingy sports pony  I know the browband you mean, it's lovely but maybe the flowers were a step too far for her? She's gorgeous and would suit some lovely subtle bling - like the pink equine ones Fergs is modelling in the OP - maybe in pink? :D

Sports highlands will take over the world

Mine has taken to beginning every jumping session with a 4ft leap over the tiny warm up x poles. He doesn't ponce in the field though - leaves that to the 2 year old. He just goes everywhere in gallop  Looking forward to seeing pics of your lad under saddle :D

Bling my Browband on FB are awesome!!

I would go for a curved/ droppy one rather than a V- I think they look a bit severe?

I don't think a curve will sit well on his forehead, he's too broad. Really can't stand the loose, floppy ones that hang right down either :o OCD again :D

Will have a look at that page though, ta!

I hate the big curved floppy ones - they look like a kid wearing mum's shoes!
JFTD - agree, the flowers were OTT, but we are not pink girlies :D Maybe if they do purple??

wow who did she use for that? I wouldn't mind an OH made to order - one who'll do my manual labour yard tasks and put jumps up without fuss. Must have off switch for when not in use. Other details at manufacturer's discretion :D

Just takes a bit of subtle 'training' lol dragged mine out showjump stewarding and the judge complemented me on having a quiet helpful man to put up jumps :D

I like the lord of the rings one best :) although I think you should paint Fergs black as well :p I quite fancy the western style ones with the knotted raw hide browbands you need one of those too

Well done to whoever just introduced that 'middle earth' browband into my life. I HAVE to have it!

Opinions on whether it would suit my mare? She's there on the right. I think it would look pretty blo*dy fab!

Nice work. The judge should've given you a rosette for his performance :D

I really want a dark brown whole bridle in the LOTR style - obviously not literally the same design as the browband, but in that theme. Then I could re-enact the chase scene to rivendell. Fergs won't need to be black because he'd be arwen's horse ;)

I willl also get him a blingier, v shaped one for dressage. they might be puzzled if we turned up in full lotr gear, with me in a cloak, charging round the arena squawking about black riders :D

Oooooh! Might get them both some bling - very matchy-matchy :D

ah go an, y'know you want to :p :D

So - here is a new thread title for you once bling is purchased!

'Fergs reenacting the LOTR charge' (You have to get a green cape and do this... it would be legendary! you will also need to borrow a hobbit :D)
