After a somewhat stressful day....ended the evening by deciding to go and check my boy had settled back in the new herd. [15+ 2 year old colts with him with a couple of adults....and my boy isn't that 'savvy' when it comes to common sense things!]
So thought I'd take a wander and check him.
He's settled in perfectly again it would seem....he was right up on the top of the bank giving me kittens, but he seems to have adapted to be a mountain goat within a few hours haha.
After I couldn't catch him for an hour getting him earlier on...he came trotting down calling straightaway again this evening when I went out there! [in 30 odd acres of hillside lol]. Couldn't get rid of him lol, he was stayed with me wherever I went.
Gave him a few carrots and checked the rest of the colts over.
Hairy was out there also....so I couldn't resist popping on him. I love him so much. He is the ultimate detox if you're having a bad day! No headcollar, no tack....just riding him about and having a good old canter around bareback! And a paddle about in the brooke haha. He is such a dude. He needs cloning.
Just got back in now anyway. I realise I ultimately have no social life as this is how I've been spending most evenings lately. But I don't care...I love it!
