Am having the vet out. Shall call Monday as shut for weekend. Teeth were done in beg February. Noticed she wasn't happy with schooling and was evading collection. Her tounge on both sides are covered in hard blisters. There is nothing nasty in her field. Shall try to attach photo.

How much of a contact do you take, and is her bit comfortable? My horse had sore patches (one step further I guess) either side of his tongue when he had been ridden by someone who was very hard on his mouth.

Her bit is a myler comfort snaffle with a roller. Was absolutely fine last sunday when we had our lesson with my dressage instructor. Fine Tuesday, ridden again Thursday and seemed off. Rode this morning and stopped as she was obviously not happy. Had a good look and was shocked to see them. They are hard and blister like. My hands are fine. I cant see any plants in her field that may have burnt the mouth. Its really odd. I shall have her sedated so the vet can have a good look inside her mouth and I want a blood test done as well, just incase something else is going on.

does look similar to an allergic reaction or similar. How puzzling. Is she eating OK? Hopefully vet can help.

yes I thought you'd likely have lumps on the lips too if it was the bit. It looks like they are filled with fluid? I get little lumps like that in funny places, like my fingers and backs of hands, when I'm really run down or eat things that don't agree with me 100%. They go away after a while. Hopefully it's something minor like that and easily fixed :)
