Hi there I am new here and wondered if anyone had experience of the above.
I have recently purchased my own small yard. The stables are housed at the back of an open fronted barn. They have been built from breeze blocks laid flat so seem very strong and have had large horses in for years.
I am planning on adding an additional stable on the end and have been offered a good deal by a local builder. Rather than the full size breeze blocks he is planning on using 6" blocks.
I am not very scientific I'm afraid , but will the fact they are smaller affect the strength. I know people have said using breeze blocks on their side giving a 4" depth is not very safe.
The builder is assuring me they are fine , but then he would wouldn't he
