Anyone use one? Just discovered them as a friend has one. Looking for opinions before I invest. I have a lovely 15yo TB who will stand tied quietly and contentedly but very occasionally something will set him off and he will pull back and panic (maybe once every couple of months so not very often at all). Not looking for "teach him to yield to pressure" advice as it's not a huge issue and he really is absolutely gorgeous in every other respect, he just occasionally winds himself up, the silly old sod. So I thought the Blocker would be good because it gives gently and there is no solid resistance.

Here's a link for anyone else who was ignorant to their existence...

Save yourself some pennies and cut a dutch gag in half. We have used that for years before this piece of kit came out :)

Ooh, I have a DG that I don't use anymore.... can you explain a bit more.... do you mean use the two smaller rings??? Thanks :)

Just split the bit in half at the joint.

The snaffle (big) ring is the part where the rope goes through to loop onto the single bit piece which is now folded back.

The other two/three rings are not used, although you could use the single one to hang the whole thing from, with a clip as shown in the photo in your link.

Does that make sense? It's a mouthful!
