My 9 month old border has runny poos which started on Friday am, first one just runny and dark, then the second a few hours later yellow with some blood. Starved him that day then gave boiled rice for 24 hours. Yesterday his poo was solid but still runny so gave him some chicken with rice but this am its back to semi runny with a tiny speck of blood. Any help appreciated

He was wormed three weeks go.

i really dont know i am no expert.

My dog we lost a couple of weeks ago was 13 and had very runny poo with lots of blood and went downhill in literally a day and the vets said it could be a multitude of things.....we have since found out he had a damaged pancreas and probably a tumour in his intestine.
Probably due to his age though, so really hope you find out what is wrong with yours
(hugs)

Call your vet and get him there as soon as the vet will take him. Numerous possibilities for blood in the stool, many life threatening particularly for a young or elderly dog.

Thanks

had a springer that used to get similar symptoms and she was a complete dustbin, he does eat horse poo if he gets the chance

Have looked up colitis and his symptoms match especially the slimy poo (sorry if you've just had breakfast) and eating rubbish. If no better tomorrow will go to the vets, back to the rice for now.
