Blood Tests

Can people tell me what sort of price they'd expect to pay for blood tests to try and identify any allergies that might be the cause of hair loss in a Lab? No other symptoms such as itchy skin or lesions, and the dog is on a wheat free diet.

I'd expect to pay somewhere between £200 and £300 for a food and environmental panel.

Probably near £300 (if not more) in most practices I've worked in for the full panel.

Over here I've paid 150 euros for the Elisa food intolerance test...the environmental factor one would be another 150 euros.murphys quote of 300 pounds ties in with ours..

Re the lab..if hair loss is on flanks and sides I'd first do a test for low thyroid..this one cost me 70 euros..and my girl was indeed low thyroid.

I paid £220 about four years ago but Murphy88 is right, I've just checked the lab book and the same test would be £309 now.
