Our very, very special Roger horse is having to have a blood transfusion in the morning.
Poor old guy became very sick last week, lost buckets of blood, and has since not managed to recover from this (he's 25 y.o) Has very low white cell count, so low infact that any stress will kill him.
Lovely neighbour has agreed to us having her horse as the donnor and we start in the morning, we need five littres to give him any chance.
Can't realy take it in that he is so sick, he may be 25 but he rides and acts like a youngster. he honstly is a very special horse who has worked hard and been very loyal all his life, has taught us all so many things, and forgiven our many mistakes for him to go in such a sickly way would make it all a tragedy.

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow, I know just what you mean about riding and acting like a youngster at that age, our Nellie was like that and didn't retire until she was 30, then had three years of retirement. I hope your lad goes on to a similar age.
