Bloodbank in Bucks?

Hi there - just wondering if anyone has any experience of bloodbanks? I am aware there is one in Buckinghamshire at the Claydon's but don't know much about it?

What type of horses do they take? Do you sign over ownership? Can they remain shod?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi there. Unless things have changed in the last few years, Horses must be over 16 hands and under 16 years old, and obviously must be happy to have a needle stuck in them on a regular basis! I don't believe they keep them shod, but they are trimmed. Yes, you do sign over ownership.

They live out most of the year in herds of roughly 50 horses, and in the winter they come in to big barns.
