I'm going this wednesday for a 7am start! It's our 1st of the season, our mine and my horses 1st time together. I was just wondering how different it is to cubbing and then hunting? I was thinking if it's more relaxed with less jumping or basicly the same? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it's the Warwickshire Hunt, we're going with friends :) but since it's our first time I'll be taking lots of green tape!

My experience of hound exercise & autumn hunting with the bloodhounds has been very steady with little to no jumping at the beginning, building up to faster with jumping by October time... its usually very relaxed with no pressure - just perfect for your first time!! :)

It's a bit like a fun ride with hounds - you keep moving unlike cubbing, but the pace is steady and builds up as you get nearer the opening meet. Usually a few fences and there will be loads of folks out.

It's great fun!
