Bloodhound pups!!

Took the horses XC schooling today,

and finally (best of all), after horses were all washed and back on the truck, I got to snuggle with these little bundles...

The hunt have 2 litters of pups.

About 12 weeks....

Mummy is lovely too - she looks like she's wearing mascara, pretty lady!

I know - I could have stayed for hours. OH had to drag me away. They are just so cuddly, and their little puppy smell. HELP - I htink I am addicted to puppies

Does the hunt just have bloodhounds? They must look wonderful as a pack.

Its a pack of about 10 couple, though only about 4 1/2 couple go out at once. The sound they make when they hit the scent (of a runner) is tremendous - a really deep 'arf, arf, arf'.

They are mainly 3/4 bloodhound & 1/4 foxhound (just to lighten them up a little), as pure bloodhounds can be very heavy and not able to hunt for as long.
