Had bloods taken yesterday as following colic on Friday pony not really eating properly and is really not himself.
Results came back this evening, he's quite anaemic, has raised gastric enzymes in blood, and also had positive worm count in poo test.
Am waiting for vet to get back to me tomorrow re a Gastric specialist vet coming to scope him for ulcers asap, but currently going out of my mind worrying about him. I lost a horse (tb ex racer) last year to severe stomach ulcers (he came to me with them) and was too far gone by the time I got him for any drugs to fix him. This is my beloved pony who has been out on loan for a year and this has happened while with loanees. He's not lost weight, yet, but is so obviously so poorly.
Please can you throw some ideas out there that will give me hope that he is going to be ok?
