Our childhood family dog ate a cassette tape. My dad thought she had worms until he realised what it was hanging out of her bum. He just trod on it and she carried on walking and out it all came!

My cats were very fond of chewing a 6ft long multicoloured toy they had, it was a bit like a long bit of very thin fleece fabric. I noticed that the toy was getting shorter, and I kept finding piles of multi-coloured fleece cat sick. lovely.

My cat eats anything. Wooly jumpers, towels, cat toys, DOORMATS! Oh, we got a plasticy tunnel thing for him, he ate THAT! He's no longer allowed to have a bed because he rips them to shreds and eats them

I still think that the doormat was pretty bad though!

Isabelle and Hobbes the ever hungry!

One of my cats has a rubber fetish

I have found fishing pole elastic in a variety of colours entwined in his poo - nice. I have also found the finger off a rubber glove...it took me a while to figure out what this yellow thing was in the litter tray.

Abe is 9yo now so he appears to have grown up a bit and is not so bad tho' he still loves chewing plastic bags - I have to hide them!

Hope your cat 'passes' his favourite toy and is home and well again soon

My dog chewed up one of her soft toys, I was very disconcerted to find one of her poohs watching me.... she must have swallowed one of its eyes.

poo picking would be so much better is horses had glittery poo.

LMAO!

At least you could identify the piles and if you were feeling bolshy only pick up yours! We used to have someone that would only pick up what she thought her horse had done and used to joke that the horse must stick a little flag in his offerings!

Fortunately string eating is not a situation I have had to contend with, I hope your cat is OK. Expensive snack though
