Got home from the stables yesterday evening having left the pooch home alone for about 2 1/2 hours - when i got home i called him from the front door so he would come out for the toilet as i knew he would need to go by now as only a tiny bladder!! he didnt come so i thought he must be asleep so i kept calling to wake him up, then i heard him cry out. he was on my bed and seemed to not be able to get down (odd as im sure ive seen him jump off before but it is quite a high bed i cant touch the floor sitting on it)
well i thought he looked a bit sheepish and thought poor lad has distressed himself bcos he was stuck up on the bed (little did i know the mischeif he'd been up to) anyway i had his antibiotic tablet in my hand so i gave that to him on the bed, then put him on the floor and went out so he could toilet.

he didnt pee much which i tought was odd so thought i should check my bed just incase.... just as i'd suspected, he'd pee'd on my duvet

and bcos i hadnt noticed and gave him his tablet which he see's as a treat that is not good is it?!

i was so p'd off he is house trained and never has any accidents so i dont understand what possessed him to do it. part of me thinks maybe he couldnt get down and panicked but still he is normally fine being alone for a few hours and doesnt wee anywhere?! he is only 6 1/2 months so i should cut him some slack i guess.

will be closing my bedroom door from now on when i go out!!

and he is now strictly NOT allowed on the bed - he jumped up on there later in the evening - i told him to get down and he jumped right off?!!?!?!?!? so was he even stuck up on the bed at all

Sorry had to rant, im off my soap box now!

Heh my pup did a widdle on my bed this morning, my fault because I should have got him down sooner.
I always lock him out of rooms where his pee could cause me distress, saves any annoyance if accidents happen! xxx

Urgh...not nice. My pup is odd when it comes to going to the loo. I always shut her in my bedroom when I go out with all her toys, her bed, etc. Since she was about 9wks old, she's refused to go to the loo in the bedroom. Regardless of whether I'm out for 10mins or 7hrs, she will always hold it until I get home. However, if she is in any other part of the house, the moment she needs to go, she will do it - straight on the floor. Of course the carpets now smell TERRIBLE (and I've yet to find anything that will get rid of the smell

), and I am not impressed.

Sounds like it was a bit more directed at you leaving him to me! A little strop perhaps? God I bet it stunk as boys are a bit whiffy! Poor you, did you sleep in his dog bed?

I never actually have to tell mine off if they get caught short as its usually my fault for not waking up when the ask me to go out! (usually about 4 in the morning!!!). But they are really good and it they have to they go on the lino in the Kitchen, so now I just leave a freebie newspaper on the floor just in case to soak it up.
