Yesterday evening I noticed loads of large mosquito like flies on my horse. She is very sensitive and they did look to be biting. We've just moved yards and I remember on the last move she reacted to the particular mix of flies there and ended up looking like she had mumps! The lumps oozed, the skin broke down and all the hair fell out! I don't want that to happen again. She lives out 24/7
Ideas on the most effective fly spray and best fitting fly rug much appreciated.

We make our own! I will get the recipe for you later, it is amazing! And as for fly rugs, maybe you could look at the ones that totally cover you horse (face & belly), I do not know any brands however as I've never looked into it, I hope you find something that works :)

Rambo sweet itch hoody meant to be good as are the premier wquine ones. For fly spray I too make my own- I think off top of my head it's citronella, tea tree, cold tea, eucalyptus and drop of ginger to help it mix! My mum has the recipe so I am only trying to guess! But fly rug would be best option as no spray lasts that long
