gahh sooo cross!!!

horse has been off work last week due to a severe allergic reaction, and was due to be ridden again today as we have a comp on sat and a comp on sunday, and then the dengie finaal next saturday. so was all ready to be ridden, as the scabs were starting to come off.

go up to yard tonight and find that he has skinned/sliced the inside of his back leg quite badly, leg all hot and swollen!! thought that it could be puffy because he stood in all day, but when i let him loose in the school and could see some unlevel steps, but wasnt sure if it was the sand. took him out to trot him up on the concrete with YO watching, so when i first attempt to trot he tries to p**s off with me and starts to canter, and i am very small and he is very big!! so try again and same thing happens. then try for the final time and he trots up and strides out alot, causing me to speed up a lot

so YO agress that he is slightly unlevel, and so off i go to hose his leg for 20mins, and after that it still hadnt gone down at all!!!!

gahh hes sooo clumsy!! we have 4 cuts on one foot and 2 on another foot!!

should i buy him those turnout/stable boots? can you wear the turnout boots in the stable?

Squirt with cooled boiled salt water (always works wonders for us) and either turn out (covered) or ride in walk, best way to keep swelling down unless of course it's worse in the morning and you may need antibiotics. I think they do it deliberately
