OH and I went down to the field this evening to find Ellie and Daisy had got out of their seperate paddocks and were both grazing in the paddock we are currently resting.
They had somehow pulled up a wooden post at one end of the electric fence and it appeared that one or other of them had got the tape wrapped round her legs given the marks on the grass and the distance the wooden post had travelled.
I don't know which one of them instigated the out break or if it was caused by panic but they have made a right mess of the fencing and the field.
Tomorrow OH and I were going to take Ellie out on her first ride since she was bitten by the dog, but she is now lame. Grrrrrr.
She also has white marks on her front legs so I am thinking it was she who got caught in the tape and pulled the wooden post up.
Both of them were very skitty and nervous, Daisy even spooked at her own shadow when she turned round and when OH picked the wooden post up both took off to the far corner of the field.
So, it looks as if Ellie won't be going out anytime soon, so it's just me and Daisy this weekend.
Poor Ells!
