Evie has come in season. Which is good in that she is about the right age and isn't going to be freakish like her great aunt Ushi ,who had her first season at 3 years old

BUT, she is supposed to be doing her silver KC Good Citizen test next week, and of course won't be able to now. The training class we go to is college linked which means they wont run through the Easter holidays so it will probably be at least 5 weeks before I can get her to class again, I can of course carry on the training at home but missing the socialisation part could set her back a bit I suspect

If she had just waited another couple of weeks it would have been so much better.

I am thinking of entering Bella for a Bad Citizen scheme after our walk today :P do you think such a thing exists?
After all the hard work with her brother she has now decided she is going to play up instead!!!

We came across a rogue herd of sheep in the woods today, the boy was as good as gold and walked to heel but she was totally fixated, a passing farmer who saw us from the road came and moved them for me, as there was no way I could have walked them past without her going into orbit.

I'm afraid I am going to have to use Mr Spiky on her, too......thank God I had them on the lead.

I just don't understand it, it is a total role reversal, she was always fine with sheep...bah! Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Is there another class you can tag onto in the meantime? Or you coooould take her to a show to see some other dogs...

She'll pass no doubt, she got her bronze quite young, didn't she?

We've done the local Sunday Market quite a few times, trouble is a lot of the dogs we have met there are abusive to her first

Don't think there are any shows locally, but its an idea. The only other local class is a bit "fluffy" apparently, doesn't like people being firm with their dogs. The lady I go to at present has Shepherds and knows how to deal with them.
With regard to Bella, could it be season related with her, is she due in or anything? Sorry not a lot of help am I, maybe she just reacted because the sheep were somewhere she didn't expect them to be.

She finished her season about a fortnight ago. I guess I just let things slide because I was concentrating so much on her brother - I'd like to see the other lady try 'fluffy' with him :P

I know what you mean about the other dogs, I see smaller dogs 'start' my two, and when they react, the owners scurry away muttering! Er......
