Such a shame, she never really came sound. The article is in Danish but thanks to my half Danish husband I can get the gist! She's going to be given a year in the field to enjoy herself and then be put in foal.

Gorgeous photos of her looking very happy! But it is a shame that she'll never be seen competing again.

Wonder who they'll put her to, and how much her foal would be worth!!!

Oh no, that's such a shame! So many of us were really looking forward to seeing her back in competition. How exciting that she is breeding - can't wait to see what she produces!
 
Oh no, that is absolutely gutting, she really danced.
Did anyone else wonder if it was a bit too much too soon for her, I know she was phenomenal but isn't it quite a lot to get a horse to GP by 9 (i think that's how old she was, ready to be corrected though.)
 
She was 9, so yes young for a GP horse, and she really gave her all. However, the injury was an accident originally - she fell off a horsebox ramp. So who knows whether without that injury she would have stayed sound or not

ah, i didn't know that, thankyou. i thought she'd had a bit of time off and then the horsebox ramp issue. what a total nightmare. yes, i agree about the poignancy, they really were a phenomenal combination, and were robbed of gold imho.
 
I totally agree that they were robbed Kerilli. Even more of a shame now that we know she will never have another attempt. I'm off to watch it again.......kleenex at the ready!
 
Oh no, that is really really sad :-( Such a talented beautiful horse. The article also says that they don't want to do an embryo transfer or AI but that she will become pregnant and carry her foal the "natural way" - she has had enough of medical treatments. They obviously care for her enormously.
 
Such a shame, twice as bright, half as short comes to mind. At least she has a very good home, I feel really sorry for some top dressage horses.

Can't beat that!
She gave so much pleasure, even people I know that aren't horsey at all were mesmerised by her stunning performance. I hope she has a long and happy life in future years.
 
How terribly sad to think we won't get to see anymore of her amazing performances. She really was a star!!

What a shame, but she gave so much it will be lovely for her to have an easier time of it though. She is the one horse that summed up what dressage should be about for me... I could watch her all day long.
 
I couldn't agree more. In fact I was torn between being thoroughly inspired by her performance in the Kur and giving up on the basis that there is no way in hell I will be able to get a horse to perform like that!
 
I love her she is such an amazing mare, she made it look so effortless I could watch her all day long.
It makes me happy to know that she is actually allowed to be a nautrual mum to her foals and I have my fingers crossed it all runs smoothly for her.

I'm just so glad she is loved and cared for in this way. Can't wait to see what she produces and who she will be put to! Blue Hors have some stunning stallions!
