He looks fab hon, really game and as you say forward. I wouldnt worry re. the arrowheads, once he gets them he will never have a problem again I reckon
Well done for doing it with a knee that sore! He looks lovely, a little sticky in places, but if he hasn't seen anything like it, it was fab! I would have been very happy with that and like you say, very educational for him, thanks for sharing and hope the knee is on the mend soon!
I do like Blue Bog Pony: as well as being as willing and honest as he shows in your vid (must have been thinking, "what a strange setup is this??!"), he's really, really pretty to look at. I like the cone+poles idea suggested earlier for the arrowhead problem; sounds like a cheap yet practical solution.
Hope it feels better soon. Only one blip doesn't sound horrendous on a green young horse, I'll bet there were older/more experienced horses having as much, if not more, trouble also. It is a lot of fences in a small space for them to take in.
Roll on "proper" BE, you've not long to wait at least!
Firewell - funnily enough was reading that article the night before JAS!!!!!! I did sit up BUT was also not soft enough through my arms which is not helpful for him at all on way into fences!!! Work in progress me thinks
