Hello everyone!
Just wondering which is the best calmer out of these?
I must admit that I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to feeding these types of supplements... has anyone got any positive experiences of either of these... i.e. as they are quite expensive, do they really work?! I'm at the point now where I think anythings worth a try, and it certainly can't do any harm!!!

Also, I would be interested to know if Equine America's Propell Plus works... as sod's law, have one too lazy and one too sharp (maybe my next horse will be just right)!! lol

I haved found the TopSpec one to be absolutely excellent... I tried both Blue Chip and Equine America, but have found the TopSpec one had the best results. It did not remove the sparkle, just took the anxiety and worry out.

Thanks jetset!! I didn't know TopSpec made one I'll have a look at that now!! Think these types of things are best chosen by recommendation, not by scanning the packets to see which one contains the most ACP... lmao

I've probably tried them all! The best one I've found with my horse is the Blue Chip Karma. Makes a huge difference for him - significantly less spooky and calmer but if he does get in a bit of a flap he calms down much quicker. I was sceptical too until I tried the Blue Chip!

The best 1 is the 1 that works for your horse. I use Blue Chip. Another livery uses Blue Chip on 1 horse, but had to use that Oxygen 1 on another as Blue Chip had no effect.

Blue Chip is specifically for magnesium deficiency. If your horse does not have that condition, it will have no effect.

I have used Bluechip, but found Nupafeed the best calmer which is also magnesium based. But i think that different things work on different horses!

I had to stay away from a high magnesium based one as Grace is not lacking in magnesium so it has the opposite effect on her and can make her very shaky

The TopSpec one has tryptophan in it too so rather than 'calming' it just makes them happier and takes out the anxiety if that makes sense. I still needed sparkle with Grace, but wanted to take the edge off her which stops her eating and getting stressy. I tried her on the Equine America one but it actually made her a bit dull to my aids when she had been on it for two weeks.
